Location & Getting Here

The Natural Curaçao is situated in the heart of the island, just a 15-minute drive from Hato International Airport. From the airport you follow the main road towards Willemstad and then continue inland on the well-paved Weg Naar Westpunt. The property is clearly signposted and offers free private parking directly on site, so a rental car is the easiest way to reach us. Public buses stop about 500 meters from the entrance, but services are limited, especially on weekends and public holidays.

Because of our central position, you are never far from the island’s main highlights. The famous beaches of Mambo Beach and Jan Thiel are a 20-minute drive to the east, while the rugged beauty of Shete Boka National Park and the quiet coves of Westpunt are about 25 minutes to the west. The historic center of Willemstad, with its floating market and colorful Handelskade, is only 12 minutes away. Several well-stocked supermarkets, pharmacies, and local restaurants are within a 5- to 10-minute drive, making it easy to combine quiet nature living with everyday convenience.

The Tropical Gardens & Wildlife

Our property is surrounded by more than 4,000 square meters of carefully maintained tropical gardens. You will find mango trees, papaya, banana plants, and dozens of flowering shrubs that attract hummingbirds and butterflies throughout the day. Early risers are often rewarded with sightings of the yellow trupial, Curaçao’s national bird, as well as green parakeets and the tiny suikerdiefje. Quietly walking the garden paths in the late afternoon is a favorite activity for many of our returning guests.

We keep the gardens as natural as possible and never use chemical pesticides. As a result, you may also encounter iguanas basking on the rocks, small lizards darting across the terrace, and at night the soft call of the common dwarf gecko. Please respect the wildlife and do not feed the animals. The combination of dense greenery, birdsong, and the absence of traffic noise makes the property feel far removed from the busier tourist areas, even though the main road is only a few minutes away.

Swimming Pool & Outdoor Facilities

The shared outdoor swimming pool is one of the centerpieces of The Natural Curaçao. It measures 10 by 5 meters and has a shallow end of 1.20 meters and a deeper end of 1.80 meters, making it suitable for both relaxed floating and proper swimming. The pool is surrounded by a spacious sun deck with comfortable loungers, and a large palapa offers shade during the hottest hours of the day. A cold outdoor shower is located right next to the pool steps.

For guests who enjoy cooking outdoors, we provide a communal barbecue area with a large charcoal grill, preparation table, and outdoor sink. The barbecue is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. In the evening, the pool and garden are softly illuminated with low-energy lighting, creating a cozy atmosphere for a late-night swim or a drink under the stars. Pool towels are provided in each accommodation and can be exchanged daily at the reception.

Practical Information & Policies

Check-in is from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and check-out is before 11:00 AM. If you arrive outside these hours, please let us know in advance so we can arrange a self-check-in. A valid passport or ID is required for all guests, and the person making the reservation must be at least 21 years old. We accept cash payments in US dollars or euros, as well as major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due upon arrival.

Please note the following house rules during your stay:

• Smoking is not permitted inside any accommodation. Designated outdoor ashtrays are placed on each terrace.
• Pets are not allowed, with the exception of registered service animals.
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM out of respect for other guests and the surrounding wildlife.
• Air conditioning is metered separately at $0.99 per kWh, and the reading is recorded at check-in and check-out.
• All accommodations are self-catering; daily housekeeping is available on request for an additional $15 per service.

Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations between 30 and 14 days before arrival receive a 50% refund. No refund is given for cancellations made less than 14 days before the check-in date, or in case of a no-show. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers unforeseen events.
